Just diagnosed with AVM
I am 34 years old and have been having major back pain. I started working out for a solid year and thought maybe I am just sore from working out. The pain became so much that I knew my body needed some checking into. I went December 24, 2008 for an MRI mind you I had to set up my own appointments and find out how to do all this with little help from the doctors. I was sent to a Chiropractor, unreal.
I just had a consultation on Feb 2, 2009 with Dr. Richard Fessler Michigan Head and Spine Institute. I left there a mess, in my MRI films showed veins/vessels surrounding my spinal cord and my bone hurts to the touch. It has also showed a mass/hemotoma in my lower left back. I can't believe this AVM stuff, how awful! I have been doing a ton of praying! I have talked it over with my Husband and we have explored the possibility of myself being paralyzed. I have been doing a great deal of research since I have never even heard of this. I have my angiogram Feb 10, 2009 and I am so nervous and emotional. It's for my brain and spinal cord.
I have read a great deal of all your stories and the work God has done in many of them give me a great deal of faith! I know God is hearing our prayers and is with us. God knows your heart and our desires, however its not always what we want. It's the road God has for us! Sure we would like it to work out best for us, sometimes God just has different plans. I have to be calm and relaxed right now and just keep praying. I will touch base again after Tuesday!
Thank you for this website and all of you sharing your stories!
