My AVM
Hello all!
Well here goes!
I am 31 and have 3 children-2boys and a girl.
Last year(2004)on 16June I had a severe stroke caused by an avm in my cerebellum. Two days later my daughter was born by caesarian section.
Life very quickly became dreadful. Not only did I have to cope with a severe stroke, a huge gap and news of an avm that caused this and could re bleed at any time.
My stroke was horrid- I was nearly a goner and had to re learn everything again and amongst all other problems it has left me with balance problems, judgement, memory loss, perception and spatial awareness have all gone. So on top of the worst time of my life I also nad to deal with lack of info on avm's worry about this and feeling isolated. And a huge memory loss - I did not know my daughter could not do anything for her and in all progress was and is very slow and painful.
If I can do it so can anyone. So chin up to you all plus thanks for a great site.
